Pioneer Green Building Project Elevates Sustainability and look of Chicago Neighboorhood.

Residents of the Morgan enjoy many amenities that are the result of developer McCaffrey Interests’ achievement of LEED-NC certification, making it the first green mixed-use building in Rogers Park. These include use of sustainable construction materials and efficient utilities, an improved building envelope and maximized daylighting, a rooftop garden and convenient access to bike trails and public transportation.
 

To achieve the goals of tighter building envelope and daylighting, REHAU 4500 System produced by Advanced Window tilt-turn, hopper fixed windows and balcony doors were installed throughout The Morgan’s residential units and common spaces. The windows were selected for their exceptional energy efficiency and sound abatement properties, as well as their improved cost effectiveness when compared to traditional aluminum. In Addition, the modern and welcoming appearance of the vinyl profiles aligned well with Morgan’s hip, friendly look and feel.
